Mali Noyes' Rapid Fire YouTube Series Is Back for Season 2 With a Descent of Canada's Comstock Couloir
If you’ve been following Mali Noyes on Strava (or Instagram) and seen all the cool stuff she got up to last winter (mostly dropping boys in the booter), then we’ve got some great news for you. Episode One, Season Two of Noyes’ YouTube series, Rapid Fire, is now live.
Last season, Rapid Fire showed the ins and outs of Noyes’ effort to ski the Wasatch Chuting Gallery in record time. Following her completion of all 93 lines in just 47 days, Noyes went in search of bigger mountains and more technical lines. Season Two of Rapid Fire follows Noyes and her partner and fellow ski mountaineer, Spencer Harkins, to British Columbia, where they found just that.
Because there’s no better way to kick things off than with a bang, the first episode features Noyes’ historic descent of Mt. Dawson’s Comstock Couloir. The Comstock Couloir is featured in the iconic Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America, by way of Greg Hill, who first skied it in 2008. Noyes first attempted to ski the Comstock with Hill and Cody Townsend for Townsend’s FIFTY Project, but was ultimately turned around by weather.
Noyes and Harkins returned to the Comstock this past winter alongside Emrik Villeneuve and Laurent Mathieu. Although the news of Noyes’ historic first female descent of the Comstock was widespread within the ski community when it happened, the episode gives a more in-depth look of the crew’s effort, which took place over four days.

Although Townsend was perhaps the first to popularize a web series that mostly features people walking uphill on skis, Noyes and Harkins keep it entertaining and have viewers on the edge of their seats. Oh, and Townsend still hasn’t skied the Comstock.
