Chilean Ski Resort Launches New Sunset Snowcat Aprés Experience

Guests of Valle Nevado Ski Resort in Chile now have a new way to experience the Andes after a day on the slopes with the launch of its Sunset Snowcat described as “an intimate evening excursion that takes guests high above the resort for one of Chile’s striking Andean sunsets.”
The Sunset Snowcat experience includes a scenic snowcat climb to the Ancla summit, where guests can enjoy Chilean-inspired food and beverages while watching the sunset over Valle Nevado and the surrounding peaks.

Designed for both skiers and non-skiers, the experience accommodates up to 12 passengers with departures taking place between 5:30 and 6:00pm and concluding between 7:00 and 7:30pm.
Heads up if you are looking to partake as reservations are required and must be made at least 24 hours in advance with a minimum of four passengers. Excursions are subject to weather, route conditions and the operational assessment of Valle Nevado’s mountain team.

Heli-skiing at Valle Nevado has been on the menu since 1988 and is available for intermediate through expert skiers and snowboarders, with guides selecting terrain based on ability, preferences and daily conditions.
