Mount Bohemia Completes Next Phase of Voodoo Mountain Cat Skiing Expansion
Big changes are underway for one of the Midwest’s most beloved and unique ski areas. Mount Bohemia posted to social media to announce that trail expansion work for Voodoo Mountain had officially been completed.
Following last season, the ski area shared updates on trail work at Voodoo Mountain, which is the first commercial cat skiing outfit east of the Rockies. The additional trails put Voodoo’s total skiable terrain at nearly 300 acres, and bring Mount Bohemia’s total terrain to nearly 900 acres.
And passholders have the chance to ski it for free. Twenty-eight passholders will be chosen each day for a free half-day trip at Voodoo, according to the post from Mount Bohemia.
Unlike other passes that go on sale in the spring, Mount Bohemia’s season pass sale begins November 25 and goes through December 5, 2026.
A season pass, which is good seven days a week, with no blackout dates, includes Nordic Spa access and cat skiing, and costs just $117, making for one of the cheapest deals in skiing. Sunday through Thursday season passes are also available for $99. Two Year Rollover Season Passes and Lifetime Passes are also available for more, but still cost notably less than most season passes.
Passholders also get free tickets to Mount Bohemia’s partner resorts, which for the 2026-27 season include Bogus Basin, ID, Whitewater Mountain Resort, Canada, and Loveland Ski Area, CO, to name a few.
Located on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Mount Bohemia gets nearly 300 inches of lake-effect snowfall annually. The ski area is known for not grooming any terrain, its colorful chairlifts, and its off-the-beaten-path vibe.
