Chairlift-Themed Brewery Acquires Nearby Inn

Plymouth, New Hampshire — Did you know there’s a brewery in New Hampshire themed around lifts?

Situated on a roundabout near Tenney Mountain, Last Chair Brewery opened back in 2016. The restaurant and brewery were originally separate businesses, but merged to become Last Chair Brewery in 2018. The interior and exterior of the building are filled with old lift carriers and other ski memorabilia. While it’s known for its varied beer selection, there’s also a quality food lineup.

As Tenney’s revival has gained momentum, so has Last Cahir Brewery’s success. In response to the area’s growing ski presence, the brewery has bought a nearby inn.

Late last month, Last Chair Brewery announced it had acquired the Federal House Inn. Located near the brewery, the Federal House Inn features five guest rooms. It was well reviewed, with nearly five stars on Google and TripAdvisor. It will now be rethemed as The Après House, with the five guestrooms rethemed to a separate New Hampshire ski resort. An official reopening date for the rethemed inn has yet to be announced.

The rebranding is also a win for Tenney. While this place already existed, this venture lets skiers know that there is a convenient inn located near the slopes. While Tenney does have some Airbnb options, there’s no hotel there (yet). It also gives options for skiers who want to spend a weekend or extended vacation skiing on I-93.
