Hiring Skis with Intersport
Hiring skis was seamless from the moment I walked in to the Intersport shop at 148, Rue du Cocor in Val d’Isere.
The staff were friendly, efficient, and clearly know their stuff — quickly getting me set up with equipment suited to both my level and the conditions on the mountain.
In a resort like Val d’Isère, where you want to maximise every minute on snow, that kind of smooth, no-fuss service really matters.
What continues to set Intersport apart for me — and why I return to them season after season — is the flexibility to swap skis as conditions change.
We had a real mix of weather during the week, and being able to pop back into the shop and change skis without any issue meant I was always on the right setup.
Whether it was fresh snow or harder, more variable pistes.

It’s a simple idea, but it makes a big difference to your overall experience on the mountain.
My partner, Max, also took the opportunity to change his skis according to snow conditions.
He was going to bring his own, but he liked the idea of being able to change skis according to changing conditions.

Intersport isn’t only about renting.
I also bought a helmet while I was there.

Again, the staff were excellent — offering good advice and making sure the fit was spot on.

It’s that attention to detail that gives you confidence, especially when you’re heading out onto a busy ski area like Val d’Isère.
All in all, another very solid experience with Intersport.
Reliable, flexible, and easy to deal with — exactly what you want on a ski trip.
For anyone heading out to Val d’Isère, it’s a safe bet for hassle-free ski hire and good service, whether you’re a first-timer or a returning skier like me.
