Snow Fun in Spain For Final Weeks of Season
Baqueira Beret in Spain’s Era Marmòta Snowpark, the Funpark and the Boardercross, all located in Beret, have established themselves as go-to destinations for young riders and families during the final weeks of winter in the Val d’Aran and the Valls d’Àneu, with the resort boasting up to 230 cm of snow on powder-to-hard slopes following a recent snowfall of up to 30 cm.
For several seasons now, Baqueira Beret has been expanding and improving the facilities dedicated to young people’s enjoyment and development on the snow. As the season draws to a close, the Era Marmòta Snowpark, the Funpark and the Boardercross – all located at Beret – are establishing themselves as the resort’s most vibrant areas for enjoying skiing and snowboarding from a variety of perspectives: sport and playful fun with the family.
Located in the Beret area, these spaces offer experiences adapted to different levels and ways of experiencing the mountains. While the snowpark is geared towards the technical progression of riders and the practice of freestyle, the funpark offers an interactive route designed to enjoy skiing in a relaxed and fun way. Boardercross, on the other hand, offers an easy course from intermediate skiing levels onwards to enjoy banked turns and rollers.
With excellent snow conditions at the end of the season, these areas become real meeting places for the resort’s young community and for families looking for something a bit different within the ski area. Furthermore, the amount of snow accumulated on the slopes, totaling up to 230 cm in thickness, has made it possible to prepare these modules thoroughly for the maximum enjoyment of visitors.

Era Marmòta Snowpark, the freestyle sports area at the resort
Era Marmòta Snowpark is the most “freestyle” area of Baqueira Beret and one of the preferred sports areas for riders at the resort. Located on the Marmòtes slope, this snowpark is designed as an area dedicated to the practice and progression of freestyle in both skiing and snowboarding, offering a safe, dynamic environment adapted to different levels.
The park features three jump lines of varying difficulty: green, blue, and red, designed to facilitate a technical and logical progression within freestyle. Each line incorporates jumps, boxes, and rails of the same level of difficulty, allowing riders to develop their skills progressively within a coherent and well-structured circuit.
The snowpark combines different modules that are adapted throughout the season depending on snow conditions and park usage. This constant maintenance and redesign work makes it possible to always offer an attractive and evolving space, in line with freestyle culture, where creativity and technical progression are part of the experience.
All the lines also have specific signage and safety features, allowing riders of different levels to train or enjoy the park with confidence.
The Snowpark can be accessed via the Fernández-Ochoa T-bar lift, the Dera Reina chairlift or the Jesús Serra chairlift, and its strategic location allows visitors to make the most of daylight hours and ensures the snow remains in optimal condition for freestyle skiing.
With these features, the Era Marmòta Snowpark has established itself as one of the key freestyle hubs in Baqueira Beret, where skiers and snowboarders can train, improve their skills or simply enjoy the sport in a purpose-built setting.
Funpark and Boardercross
The Baqueira Beret Funpark is an interactive space designed to let little ones – and those who aren’t quite so little anymore – enjoy a different kind of snow experience. Located in the Beret area, next to the Clot der Os chairlift, this almost 2-kilometre route offers a fun descent where skiers pass through an environment full of fun elements to interact with and reproductions of native animals of the Val d’Aran.
Designed for the whole family and for all levels, the Funpark allows you to enjoy skiing at a relaxed pace, without technique or speed being the most important thing. Each skier sets their own pace while discovering the different interactive elements that make the descent a fun and surprising experience. This concept has established it as one of the most original and popular spots for families visiting the resort.
The Boardercross at Blanhiblar is designed to give beginners a comfortable and safe introduction to the sport, whether on skis or a snowboard. With big bumps and banked turns, yet very easy to ride, the circuit is great fun and suitable for all levels. Access is via the Blanhiblar chairlift, and the trail ends back at the same lift.
Baby Baqueira, first steps in the snow
For young children taking their first steps in the world of skiing, Baqueira Beret also offers Baby Baqueira, areas specially designed to give boys and girls their first experience of the snow in a safe and child-friendly environment. Located in the Baqueira 1500, Baqueira 1800 and Beret areas, these areas combine conveyor belts, gentle slopes and play elements that facilitate progressive learning. With specialised instructors and an environment designed for play and confidence, Baby Baqueira has established itself as the ideal place for the little ones to discover skiing while having fun.
All this at the end of the season, which continues to offer very good conditions for skiing and snowboarding in Baqueira Beret.
