Mila De Le Rue Signs With Armada Ahead of Freeride World Tour Debut

Another day, another new member added to the Armada squad.

The latest entrant is Mila De Le Rue, an up-and-coming freerider who recently qualified for the 2027 Freeride World Tour.

The daughter of famed freeride snowboarder Xavier De Le Rue—her uncle is Victor De La Rue, another big name in snowboarding—Mila’s burgeoning career marks another chapter of the De Le Rue dynasty. With two planks involved rather than one, though, this one’s different.

“It’s an opportunity for me to express my own skiing and build my own path, without comparisons to Xavier or Victor,” De Le Rue said of making the Tour.

At just 20 years old, she’s already racking up accolades. De Le Rue, in part, punched her ticket to the Tour with a heavy winning run at the Challenger event in Obertauern. She’s also among the first women to stomp a double backflip in freeride competition and won “Best Female Athlete” at the High Five film festival in Annecy with her exposed lines in the Antarctic documentary, Of a Lifetime.

“Mila has a laid-back style, almost appearing effortless, but underneath she is fearless and powerful with technique that suits any terrain at her incredible speed,” said Jesse Ambrogi-Yanson, Armada’s global marketing manager, in a release. “She adds a youthful creativity that has always been the backbone of the Armada brand. She’s a perfect addition to the AR family, and I can’t wait to watch her on Tour.”

De Le Rue, for her part, is stoked, calling Armada her “dream brand.”

“I absolutely love the skis, and I’m so happy to be on the team with so many sick skiers that inspire me! Excited for what’s to come,” she said.

With Armada, De Le Rue’s rocking the ARW and the newly released AntiMatter ski line, as well as the AR ONE 130 boot.

The addition comes amid rapid growth in the freeride scene for Armada. Recent signees Ben Richards and Toby Rafford have dominated the Freeride World Tour, placing first and second overall last winter, respectively. They’re joined by other new team members in the big mountain space, including Anne Hjorleifson and Max Palm.

Along with freeride recruits, Armada also recently announced that Mac Forehand, the park skier, had joined its team.
