Anon Launches Collab Collection with French Artist Lucas Beaufort
French artist Lucas Beaufort has teamed up with helmet and goggle brand Anon to release a collaborative capsule collection of their gear, which launched with an event in London over the weekend.
The collection, dubbed Encounters, seeks to bring a visual interpretation of life’s most memorable, unplanned moments to Anon’s products. Beaufort is best known for his playful drawings and for incorporating them into his photography. His close ties to the skate and snowboard communities have also led him to work on larger-scale projects and collaborations with brands across both sports, such as Anon, a sister brand of Burton Snowboards.
The development of Beaufort’s collection called on Anon athletes and skiers Michelle Parker and Sam Kuch, as well as snowboarder Nick Russell, to help with the concept. Parker, Kuch, and Russell spent time with Beaufort and the Anon team in Oregon mountain biking, sharing meals, and ultimately, helping to define the collection.

“What made this collaboration special was giving Lucas the space to meet our riders without trying to force the outcome. We wanted the collection to come from a real experience, and you can see that in the work. It’s personal, playful, and really true to the kind of products we want to make,” says Zach Nigro, Burton’s Vice President of Brand & Sports Marketing in a press release about the collection.
The Encounters collection is made up of Anon’s Oslo WaveCel® and pinnacle Merak
WaveCel® helmets, alongside the M4, M4S, M6, M6S, Nesa and Nesa S goggles, all with touches of Beaufort’s artwork.
Additionally, the MFI Fleece Helmet Hood, MFI Hellbrook Clava, and a selection of softgoods will also be available with Beaufort’s work on them. All goggles in the collection use Anon’s magnetic MFI technology to seamlessly integrate face masks, balaclavas, and hoods
