Shaun White's Snow League Reveals Stacked Ski Roster for Season Two

Shaun White's Snow League Reveals Stacked Ski Roster for Season Two

Another winter, another year of Shaun White’s grand halfpipe experiment.

Now, his brainchild, the Snow League, is sharing which skiers will go head-to-head across a three-stop season that’s appearing in Aspen, Park City, and LAAX.

Given its chief backer, it makes sense that the Snow League’s snowboard roster is larger than the ski roster, but this winter, the number of skiers competing in the series has grown from 16 to 24, plus eight wildcards at each event.

Both defending ski champions, Eileen Gu and Luke Harrold, are returning for another shot at the title in their respective categories.

They aren’t the only skiers to watch. Nick Goepper, a three-time Olympic slopestyle medalist who mounted a comeback in a new discipline, halfpipe, of course, is back on the roster. He’s joined by fellow Olympians David Wise, Hunter Hess, and Gus Kenworthy. Up-and-comer Fin Melville Ives won the Snow League’s team-based test, the World Challenge, just a few weeks ago and is now ready for the regular season.

Gu, always the one to beat in a halfpipe competition, will be challenged by other skiers who’ve also taken home Olympic hardware like Zoe Atkin and Fanghui Li.

For the uninitiated, the Snow League shakes up halfpipe with bracket-style, elimination rounds. Rather than competing against the entire field, skiers go head-to-head. It’s not unlike March Madness or tennis, and adds drama at each step before the ultimate showdown.

During the upcoming season, the Snow League stops will span three days and feature both skiing and snowboarding, a departure from the past when some events only included snowboarding.

Omer Atesmen, CEO of the Snow League, said in a release that more skiers and the format change “creates more opportunities for athletes and more compelling matchups for fans.”

“Those championship races will build from Aspen through the finale at LAAX,” he added.

The Season Two regular season will open at Buttermilk at Aspen Snowmass in Colorado, January 7 – 9, 2027. FollowingAspen, the league will head to Park City Mountain in Utah, January 21 – 23, 2027, before crossing the Atlantic for the Season Two finale at LAAX, Switzerland, March 11- 13, 2027.

All Season Two events will stream live in the U.S. on Peacock and globally on The Snow League’s YouTube Channel, with encore presentations airing on the NBC broadcast network.
