Utah Ski Resort Earns MICHELIN Key for Third Consecutive Year

Utah's Sundance Mountain Resort has earned a MICHELIN Key for the third year in a row.

Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah received some major recognition from two prominent travel publications, retaining its One MICHELIN Key distinction while also earning a top three ranking among Mountain West resorts in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Sundance Earns Top Recognition

The 2026 MICHELIN Guide marks the third consecutive year that Sundance Mountain Resort has received One MICHELIN Key. The distinction is awarded to hotels that provide an outstanding overall experience, with MICHELIN highlighting Sundance’s hospitality and distinctive connection to its surroundings.

Sundance first received the One MICHELIN Key in 2024 and has maintained the distinction ever since. The resort also ranked 3rd among Mountain West resorts in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards. That makes Sundance the highest-rated Utah resort in the category. Condé Nast Traveler readers also named Sundance among America’s 20 Best Ski Resorts.

A Different Kind of Utah Ski Resort

Sundance Mountain Resort has long been known as more than a traditional ski destination. Founded by actor Robert Redford in 1969, the resort combines skiing and other outdoor recreation with art, dining, workshops and cultural programming. That approach is reflected in the resort’s land management, with approximately 70 percent of Sundance’s terrain being permanently protected for conservation.

During the winter, visitors can ski beneath Mount Timpanogos while also experiencing the resort’s broader arts and hospitality offerings. The property has continued to develop its guest experience while maintaining its focus on the surrounding landscape.

“Recognition from MICHELIN and the readers of Condé Nast Traveler is especially meaningful because it speaks to the entire Sundance Mountain Resort experience.” – Chad Linebaugh, President of Sundance Mountain Resort.
