New York's Holiday Mountain Reveals New Trail Map With Expanded Terrain and a New Lift
New trail map alert! This is not a drill…
Holiday Mountain, a humble but lively ski area in Monticello, New York, has revealed a new trail map ahead of the winter 26/27 season. The map is bright, colorful, and most importantly, it features the ski area’s new lift and trails that will open this season.
“From three trails in 2023 to over 20 this season, Holiday Mountain’s back!” the ski area wrote in a social media post.
See below for Holiday Mountain’s new map for winter 26/27 and last winter 22/23’s map for comparison. The expansion can be seen on the left side of the new map.

Holiday Mountain
Quite the improvement, eh?
The once-fledgling ski area has seen millions in investment after the Taylor Family purchased it in 2023, and while its footprint is still small compared to larger resorts in New England, the expansion has been cause for excitement among the Holiday Mountain faithful.
The expansion includes a new three-person fixed-grip chairlift called “Quickway Triple”, 10 new trails of varying degrees of difficulty, including a double-black diamond called “Free Bird”, and an official return to the northern portion of Holiday’s property for the first time in decades. “Big Vanilla” is a new, black diamond-rated trail in the Quickway Triple expansion that Holiday Mountain plans to use for night slalom racing and training.
In just over three years, Holiday Mountain has completed:
- 2 brand-new chairlifts
- A completely rebuilt Roman Candle lift
- A fully modernized snowmaking system with over 200 snow guns
- Hundreds of new lights for expanded night skiing
- A redesigned Learning Center
- A dedicated terrain park with its own rope tow
- A brand-new snow tubing park and lodge
- An all-new summer day camp experience
Holiday Mountain is a member of the Snow Pass, and lift tickets cost $60 Tuesday-Friday, $85 on Saturday, and $80 on Sunday. It’s about 2 hours by car from New York City, easily day-trippable for city-slickers looking to spend time on the snow.
