Ikon Pass Reveals Ski Resort Opening Dates for 2026-27 Season

Snow’s already falling on some of the highest peaks and, depending on how the weather shakes out, the North American ski season could start as soon as next month. If it was the pre-pre-season a few weeks ago, we think it’s safe to say that we’ve officially been upgraded to pre-season status.

It helps that the Ikon Pass just rolled out its planned opening dates for many of its resorts. You’re probably here for those dates, so we’ll start there—keep in mind that not every resort has a confirmed opening date. Some, like Arapahoe Basin, Colorado, are known for only revealing their opening date a few days ahead of time.

The Ikon Pass also has several new partner resorts for the upcoming winter season. Keep reading for the full list.

New for Ikon Pass 2026-27

Ahead of the 2026-27 season, the Ikon Pass has also added a few new resorts. Some are on the main, flagship program, while others are part of the “bonus mountain” roster, which includes two days at each ski resort.

New North American Ski Resorts: SilverStar Mountain in British Columbia, Snowriver Mountain Resort in Michigan, Lutsen Mountains in Minnesota, and Granite Peak in Wisconsin.

New Asian Ski Resorts: Madarao Mountain Resort in Japan and Beidahu Ski Resort and Lake Songhua Resort in China.

New Bonus Mountains: Devil’s Head, WI; Tamarack, ID; Giants Ridge, MN; Caberfae Peaks, MI; and Snowy Range Ski Area, WY.
