Dakine Days Hits College Campuses With $2,000 in Gear Up for Grabs
Looking for a break from your schoolwork? Want to nerd out about action sports and meet like-minded folk who want to do the same?
Dakine Days—a campus tour that’s dropping by colleges across the country this year and run by, of course, outdoor gear purveyor Dakine—is about to wrap up with two more events on the calendar.
On Tuesday, September 15, Dakine is hitting San Diego University and partnering with the USD Surf Club, followed by another Dakine Days event on September 16 at Boston University. At the USD event, surfing-curious students—or already avid surfers—can sign up for the Surf Club.
Past events, like one held earlier this week at the University of Vermont, featured Dakine athletes and served as a gathering place for students who like to ski, surf, bike, or otherwise get after it outside.
While each stop varies based on the region, they’ve seen gear giveaways (the grand prize is $2,000 worth of Dakine gear), activities, games, and participation from local student organizations—all revolving around an outdoor tent. Late last month at CU Boulder, the Boulder Freeride Club partnered with the brand for a meet and greet, offering newcomers an in to the local ski scene, while the recent University of Vermont appeared at the UVM Ski and Snowboard Club’s Annual General Meeting.
Can’t make it? Don’t stress. Beyond the in-person hangouts, Dakine’s also offering up a 2027 spring break trip for two as part of the Dakine Days giveaway, which can be found by following this link. And no, you don’t need to be a student to get in on the action—anyone can enter to win.
