Ikon Pass Adds Three New Ski Resorts in Japan and China for Winter 2026-27
Ikon Pass is expanding its presence in Asia for the 2026-27 ski season with three new resort additions in Japan and China. Madarao Mountain Resort in Japan and Beidahu Ski Resort and Lake Songhua Resort in China will join the Ikon Pass network, giving pass holders more opportunities to ski and snowboard across Asia this winter.
The additions bring Ikon Pass access to 14 destinations across Japan, China, and South Korea, with up to 98 days available on the slopes in the region.
Three New Asia Ski Resorts Join Ikon Pass
Madarao Mountain Resort is located in northern Nagano and is particularly known for its tree skiing and natural powder terrain. Approximately 60 percent of its courses are ungroomed, while the resort features 12 official tree-skiing courses.
In China, Beidahu Ski Resort is located in Jilin Province near the Changbai Mountains. The resort is known for dry powder, relatively calm winter conditions, and a long season that can reach approximately 160 days. It also offers terrain designed for both experienced skiers and those still developing their skills.
Lake Songhua Resort sits about nine miles from downtown Jilin City. The resort combines convenient access with powder terrain and winter scenery, and has been recognized as China’s Best Ski Resort for nine consecutive years.
Ikon Pass holders will receive seven days at each of the three new resorts, while Ikon Base Pass holders will receive five days at each with no blackout dates. The destinations are not included with the Ikon Session Pass.
Two More Bonus Mountains Added
Ikon Pass is also adding Caberfae Peaks in Michigan and Snowy Range Ski Area in Wyoming to its Bonus Mountain program.
Pass holders will receive two complimentary days at each resort. Caberfae Peaks is located in Michigan’s Manistee National Forest and offers varied terrain with a long history dating back nearly 90 years. Snowy Range Ski Area is located in Medicine Bow National Forest and features 30 trails and 990 feet of vertical. The Wyoming resort offers terrain for a range of ability levels.
The additions give Ikon Pass holders access to 80 destinations across five continents and 13 countries for the 2026-27 season.
