Red Bull Rampage Is Officially Back for Its 25th Anniversary Edition
Earlier this week, Red Bull announced the return of the “Super Bowl of Mountain Biking”, Red Bull Rampage.
The event, which expanded to a two-day format in 2024 to include a women’s field, will return October 8 and 10th, 2026. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Red Bull Rampage, which has shaped the sport of freeride mountain biking.
For those hoping to watch in person, tickets to the event go on sale August 26, 2026. The event will also be live-streamed via Red Bull TV in all countries outside the US, where it will be available on ESPN+ exclusively.

From the top of the venue, which moves around the hills near Virgin, Utah, every few years, riders have roughly a week to build a line with the help of two diggers. The riders then have two chances to ride from top to bottom on competition day. Riders can collaborate on lines as well, which often helps the dig process move a bit faster, as lines must be dug entirely by hand (no machinery allowed and no wooden features).
A panel of judges, made up of mountain bike legends like Darren Berrecloth, Josh Bender, and Claire Buchar, scores runs based on fluidity and control, air and amplitude, tricks, and the degree of difficulty in their line choice. Unique lines, big features, and tricks that showcase a high level of technical skill in often consequential terrain usually score well.
The field of athletes is determined by the previous year’s results, and a field of Wildcard riders that are selected via application. The top 10 male riders from the previous year and the top four riders from the women’s field are pre-qualified.
Based on the 2025 results, Hayden Zablotny, Thomas Genon, Tom Van Steenbergen, Tomas Lemoine, Reed Boggs, Talus Turk, Cam Zink, Finley Kirschenmann, Emil Johansson, and Tom Isted are all pre-qualified for this year.
In the women’s field, Robin Goomes, Hannah Bergemann, Georgia Astle, and Cami Nogueira are pre-qualified. Red Bull has not released an official rider’s list for 2026.
