Jackson Hole Announces Free Summer Shuttle

Jackson, Wyoming, like many ski towns, doesn’t sit directly at the foot of a ski resort (well, it does—let’s not forget about the smaller, lesser-known Snow King), meaning visitors often have to sort out how to get from their lodging to Teton Village. Or vice versa.

For the rest of the summer, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and the Teton Village Association are making that equation easier. Together, they announced a new free shuttle connecting Town Square and Teton Village from July 27 through August 31, 2026.

The shuttle picks up at Redeemer Lutheran Church and drops passengers off at the Aerial Tram. Each shuttle, which runs every few hours between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., can carry 29 passengers. They’re first-come, first-served, so don’t be late. 

While Jackson Hole’s best known for its winter activities by skiers, the resort keeps its lights on during the summer with warmer-month fare like scenic lift rides, a via ferrata, disc golf, and mountain biking. 

And as it would turn out, Jackson actually has higher occupancy rates during the summer, hitting 90% to 100%, according to a local tourism website. Local attractions like Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park certainly boost those numbers.

JHMR and the TVA didn’t announce whether the free shuttle would continue during the winter, but there are a few other ski season options, aside from driving your own car or renting.

One shuttle, which is free and geared towards Teton Village employees, connected the Stilson Lot to Teton Village last winter. Despite the employee focus, the public could hitch a ride, too. Otherwise, you can rely on the local bus system, which offers rides for $1 to $3 one-way, depending on the pick-up and drop-off locations.
