New York's Hunter Mountain Names New General Manager and Vice President
Chuck Randles, a ski industry veteran with more than two decades of experience, has been named the new vice president and general manager of Hunter Mountain, New York, effective July 15, 2026.
Most recently, Randles oversaw Wilmot Mountain as general manager alongside Mount Brighton, Hidden Valley, and Snow Creek. According to a press release shared by Vail Resorts, which owns Hunter Mountain, he “built and led high-performing, multi-resort teams while driving collaboration and consistency across the Midwest region” in this role.
Beyond Wilmot, Randles has also held leadership positions in hospitality and resort operations at Keystone and Park City, among other mountains.
“Chuck is a proven leader with a passion for people, operational excellence, and the guest experience,” said Tim Baker, a Vail Resorts senior vice president, in the release. “His ability to build strong teams, foster meaningful community connections, and deliver results makes him the ideal leader to honor Hunter Mountain’s legacy and build on the resort’s strong momentum coming off its most successful season in years.”

Randles called it a “true honor” to join Hunter Mountain and be part of “such a storied and respected resort.”
“I watched the mountain and team thrive through an incredible snow year and high-energy season, and I look forward to working with the team to build on that momentum while supporting the local community and delivering a great experience for our guests,” he said.
Outside of ski resort management, Randles serves on the boards of the Midwest Ski Areas Association (MSAA) and SOS Outreach, a nonprofit with outdoors-based mentorship programs.
Randles, alongside his wife, son, and dog, will relocate to New York later this summer. When he isn’t working, Randles enjoys skiing, camping, and biking with his family.
