He was beloved, and his memory will not fade. A selection of tributes left in the comments section of the Instagram post above has been included below.

  • “No one will or can ever compare to Bernie Senders. Alex is prolly the only one and that’s all up to him. Bernie is as legendary as it gets. Such an amazing man, skier, skater and pal, to a community of nothing but shredders. We gonna miss you like crazy big dawg.”
  • “Bernie rules! We can feel your presence at power hour at the skatepark Bern Dogg. You’re the greatest man to ever put on a pair of skis. You are a role model and the best big brother to so many of us in Mammoth. Nobody can match your energy, attitude, and skills. One of a kind man, father of the Century. Miss you Bernie Senders.”
  • “RIP Bernie…. You left your mark. I will miss seeing ur videos every morning in the snow cat, and skiing freshies. I’m sorry for your loss to the family, and to his son. Your dad will always be a legend”
  • “Much love to this incredible community coming together for a true legend. We will look for you in the snow falling from the heavens, Bernie.”
