Colorado's Summer Ski Season Has Begun, and Tickets Are Cheap

Have you been complaining about the lack of snow in Colorado since November of last year? First, you’re not alone, and second, well, it’s June, and there’s still snow to be skied at one of the state’s most popular resorts.

Back for another summer of hike-to-ski operations, Copper Mountain opened its Summer Hike Park on Friday, June 5, 2026. The park will remain open Thursday-Sunday throughout the summer for as long as conditions allow.

While the park hosts multiple summer camps for park skiing and snowboarding groms, it’s open to the public, and costs just $25 per day to access. A season Hike Park pass costs $249.

Copper has preserved a significant amount of snow to create the summer hike park, as evidenced by the thick mound of snow protruding from the dirt, and skiers are showing up to make the most of it.

From the quick video above, we can see that the Summer Hike Park features at least one jump, a small hip, and multiple rails and tubes. It’s not big per se, but it’s more than enough to scratch a snow sliding itch or to keep working on your park progression.
