Ski Resorts in Australia Open for the Season This Weekend
This year there has been some natural snow, and the temperatures has been cold enough in some ski areas for artificial snow to be made.
How many resorts are able to open some slopes remains to be seen, but it is not looking good.
Some resorts should be able to offer some skiing and snowboarding on the nursery slopes and beginner areas.
Thredbo, Corin Forest and Mt Buller have invested heavily in snow making in recent years.

“Alongside snowmaking whenever conditions allow, our mountain team is working around the clock to prepare for the season,” said the manager of Brand and Experience at Falls Creek, Betony Pitcher.
“The village is coming to life, excitement is building, and we can’t wait to welcome guests back this weekend.”
