New $1 Million Bike Park Opens Near Winter Park, Colorado

Grand County, Colorado, mountain bikers are welcoming the summer season with the opening of their brand-spankin’ new bike park.

The Fraser Bike Park celebrated its grand opening on May 30, 2026, with 300 people of all ages in attendance. The opening of the bike park, which is free to the public, featured skills clinics, a bike parade, and jump line demos.

The bike park is part of Cozen’s Ranch Open Space, which was developed as part of the 2018 Fraser River Corridor Master Plan to provide recreational amenities in the area. Sitting just off of U.S. Highway 40 between the towns of Fraser and Winter Park, Colorado, Cozen’s Ranch Open Space encompasses 120 acres of protected riparian land.

With 1,800 linear feet of dirt skills trails and 1,000 feet of dirt connector trails, as well as a 1,680-square-foot paved pump track, the new bike park was designed with riders of all levels in mind. There are also adaptive features, progressive jump lines, and a central trailhead hub that houses bike repair stations and shaded seating, further elevating the park as a gathering place and hub for the bike community.

Town of Fraser

The town of Fraser began working with American Ramp Company in 2023 on the park’s initial design, which was subsequently approved on July 17, 2024. Shortly after the project was put up to bid, Avid Trails was awarded the contract. Construction, with an estimated cost of $1.1M, began in July 2025 and took roughly 4 months. The bike park had a soft opening in October of 2025.

Funding for the project came from a $389,000 grant from Great Outdoors Colorado and a $250,000 grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Revitalizing Main Street program. The town of Fraser also partnered with Headwaters Trails Alliance, Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District, Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Alliance, and Skinny Traffic Trails on the project.

The Fraser Bike Park joins Trestle at Winter Park Resort as Grand County’s second bike park. Trestle came to fruition in 2009, with help from the expert team of builders at Whistler Blackcomb on their inaugural project as the renowned trail-building company, Gravity Logic. Trestle is another key partner on the Fraser Bike Park project.
