Gorgeous Recaps of "Kimbo Sessions" Show Freestyle Skiing at Its Very Best (Video)

At this point in the season, most of us are probably over watching ski content. After all, the digital age has inundated us with clip after clip. As much as I resonate with this, I also have a counteroffer, so hear me out, POWDER readers.

A whole gaggle of the world’s best freeskiers met up at Sweden’s Kläppen Snowpark a few weeks ago to make the absolute most of an incredibly creative and beautiful park build and some spring weather. In other words, the 10th year of Kimbo Sessions just took place.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kimbo Sessions, it’s the brainchild of Swedish skier Kim Boberg, who organizes and produces the entire event. Better yet, it’s not really a competition as much as a gathering, a meeting of the minds, if you will, to take full advantage of an epic transition-focused build. After a season of World Cups, the Olympics, and other competitions, we’d wager it’s also a refreshingly unstructured, vibes-heavy event.

Because a picture, or rather a film, is worth 1000 words, the talented Björn Eklund and Ante Olofsson have brought us three incredible recap videos of the 2026 edition of Kimbo Sessions.

For a little event introduction (including the story of Boberg’s Monster manager dropping him from the team and Boberg subsequently asking him for a “million bucks” for the event) and some lovely classical-music-backed park skiing, check out the trio of recap videos below.

The 2026 POWDER Photo Annual is here! Look for a print copy on a newsstand near you, or click here to have a copy shipped directly to your front door.
