Jay Rawe Executes Worlds First Sit-Ski Flair

Niskeo, Japan, hosts Swatch Nines: a non-competitive freestyle event series focused on progression. This is a ‘for-riders, by-riders’ event that is meant to inspire creativity and media production as opposed to competition.
In 2023, Jay Rawe was the first sit skier ever invited to Swatch Nines and was then voted MVP by his fellow riders. This year he returned to claim the world’s first sit-ski flair (a backflip with a 180 spin). Not only this, he put down an absolutely insane cork 3 pole drag. Jay Rawe continues to explode expectations as he checks more world firsts off his list.
He is a natural-born adrenaline junkie. But an unfortunate BASE-jumping incident left him with a partial spinal cord injury, and he turned to sit-skiing. With incredible mental strength and a positive outlook, he was able to continue his thrill-seeking journey and continues to put down historic world firsts.
