Austrian Ski Slopes Turn Pink

Austrian Ski Slopes Turn Pink

A simple idea grew into a powerful show of solidarity on the slopes this weekend, as skiers and supporters gathered for a charity ski day in aid of Pink Ribbon Austria.

The event on the slopes of Obertauern ski area in Salzburgerland,  brought shared conversations and a strong sense of togetherness, creating an atmosphere that participants described as, “both uplifting and deeply meaningful.”

Throughout the resort, pink‑themed initiatives, donation boxes and countless small acts of generosity contributed to a significant fundraising effort for the cancer charity, culminating in a €100,000 donation. Organisers said the day highlighted the values at the heart of the Pink Ribbon campaign: courage, community and a commitment to supporting those affected by breast cancer.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Austrian Cancer Aid’s Pink Ribbon initiative, helping fund support services, provide hope and open new perspectives for patients and families.

Event organisers expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part, noting that the collective spirit on display made the day “unforgettable”.

Obertauern is known as one of Austria and Europe’s most snowsure resorts and stays open for skiing until May 3rd this year.
