Lindsey Vonn Hasn’t Ruled Out Skiing At 2030 Winter Games

Despite suffering a complex tibia fracture complicated by compartment syndrome during a crash at the 2026 Winter Games in Italy which could have led to leg amputation if not for the incredible work by her medical team, American ski racing icon Lindsey Vonn has not ruled out a return to competitive skiing at the Olympic level.
Lindsey sat down with CNBC’s Alex Sherman to discuss her recovery, which has been nothing short of grueling, and why she is not yet prepared to close the door on her long and storied racing career.
Vonn also goes into depth about her approach to life beyond ski racing with a long-term mindset, focusing on building a personal brand that extends beyond the sport while also investing heavily in women’s athletics.
She recognizes that very few skiers can make a sustainable living from competition alone, so she’s spent years developing opportunities off the mountain, including business ventures and partnerships that align with her values. A major focus has been investing in women’s sports teams and leagues including League One Volleyball (LOVB) and National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) which she believes have been historically undervalued but are now seeing rapid growth.
Whether on or off the hill, the future is bright for Lindsey Vonn and we are looking forward to see what is in store for this shining emblem of American tenacity and excellence.
