"Risk of Serious Injury": Nearly 2,000 Pairs of HEAD Ski Boots Recalled

Around 1,900 ski boots made by HEAD have been recalled in the U.S. and Canada because they pose “a risk of serious injury from a fall” because of fluorescent yellow materials that “can deteriorate and break,” according to a notice published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. 

The agency advised skiers with the boots to stop using them immediately and contact HEAD.

The recall covers boots from model years from 2016 to 2022 that have fluorescent components. Specific boots include Advant Edge 95, the Formula 120, and the Raptor 40HT, a junior model. 

The boots, according to the CPSC, were sold by various retailers between September 2015 and March 2026. See below for the specific models that have been recalled.

The CPSC notice reported no injuries in connection with the recall. 

For recalled boots with fluorescent boot shell materials, HEAD will provide free replacement boots in a newer equivalent model after the recalled boots are returned. If the boots have yellow sole inserts, HEAD will provide free replacement inserts that a ski shop or customer can install.
