Spring Skiing in Tignes

Spring Skiing in Tignes

The current late season conditions in Tignes are some of the best in recent years after fresh snow over the last couple of weeks.

They topped up what has already been a good and above average season for snow.

Like many other resorts that stay open late, Tignes has a range of activities on offer to encourage people to delay putting away their skis and snowboards for the summer.

Spring Break in Tignes takes place from 18th April – 3rd May.

“Spring Break in Tignes isn’t just for those who like to party with friends, it’s also an excellent time for families to enjoy an unforgettable vacation in the mountains,” said a statement from the resort.

“In spring, the resort offers the perfect setting for combining the pleasures of the slopes with moments of family relaxation.”

Spring means longer and sunnier days than in the middle of winter.

As well as the skiing and snowboarding Tignes offers a wide range of off-ski activities ideal for the whole family, including tobogganing, mountain-view swimming pools and nature walks.

The festive season is rounded off by events for children and the whole family, including shows and creative workshops.

The season in Tignes comes to an end with the Tignes Unlimited Festival from 25th April – 3rd May.

“At the end of the season, Tignes invites you to its second winter festival, following the Tignes Mountain Shaker,” said the resort.

“To close the 2025-2026 winter season we’ve put together a crazy week of festivals.

“The program includes daytime and evening outdoor and indoor concerts by world-renowned artists.

“It’s a chance to celebrate the past season together, and reminisce about all the good memories, before making way for summer.”

Tignes also holds the Black Shoes telemark event that is now in its 34th year after launching in 1992.

The event celebrates everything to do with telemark skiing and is renowned for its festive atmosphere, both on the trails and in the evenings, bringing together experts and newcomers alike.

Programme :

  • A unique atmosphere: a mix of sport, fun and party. The days are dedicated to descents and technical challenges, and the evenings are filled with an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.
  • An event open and accessible to all: whether you’re a beginner or an expert in telemark skiing, everyone can take part in the sessions, try out the equipment and chat with the pros.
  • The telemark spirit: more than just a sport, it’s a community where everyone shares the same passion, and the Black Shoes is a way of showcasing this culture.
  • An exceptional spot: Tignes and its ski area offer the perfect playground for having fun, on the slopes or in the resort.
