FIS Celebrates the Season

From record-breaking performances to emotional comebacks, the 2025/26 season delivered unforgettable moments.

The US skier Mikaela Shiffrin produced one of the most dominant slalom seasons ever seen.

With 9 wins in 10 races, she not only secured the Slalom Crystal Globe but also claimed the Overall title in emphatic fashion.

On the men’s side, Marco Odermatt continued to redefine excellence.

Adding multiple globes to his collection, he now stands at an incredible 16 career Crystal Globes, cementing his place among the sport’s all-time greats.

This season also celebrated breakthrough moments, as Laura Pirovano, Atle Lie McGrath, and Julia Scheib each captured their first-ever Crystal Globe, marking the arrival of a new generation of champions.

Milestones continued across disciplines.

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen secured his first Giant Slalom Crystal Globe, while Sofia Goggia claimed her first Super-G title, both achievements highlighting their evolution at the highest level.

And in one of the most inspiring stories of the season, Lindsey Vonn made a sensational return.

After five years away, she came back stronger than ever, capturing two victories and seven podium finishes, reminding the world that true champions never fade.

“As the snow settles on an extraordinary winter, we thank you for being part of this incredible journey,” said a statement from FIS.

“The passion, energy, and support of fans around the globe continue to drive the spirit of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup.

“We look forward to seeing you next season, where new stories, rivalries, and legends await.”
