Yet Another Colorado Ski Resort Is Wrapping Things Up Early This Weekend

Conditions at Eldora Mountain.

As of earlier this week, Eldora Mountain in Colorado had a closing date set for April 19th. That’s since changed, with the warm weather wreaking havoc on the ski area’s snowpack. Instead, Eldora will be wrapping up its 2025/26 ski season after this weekend, with a closing day scheduled for Sunday, April 4th.

The weekend ahead will feature a celebration to wrap up the season, including live music and events on both Saturday, April 4th, and Sunday, April 5th.

As we wrap up the season, I want to thank our loyal guests who showed up smiling day in and day out to support their local hill. I also want to thank our dedicated staff whose immense efforts and pride in their work kept Eldora running all season long. We hope everyone comes to celebrate the season with us this weekend.” – Andrew Gast, Eldora’s president and general manager.

For the rest of the season, Eldora will be offering $49 day lift tickets. Additionally, Friday, April 3rd, will feature live music in the base area from DJ Liis and Eric Richard Stone. Saturday will feature the 24th Annual DOJoe Memorial Uphill/Downhill Race in addition to further live music from DJ Deeprawk Dave and The Goonies. Lastly, Sunday will feature the Great Eldora Egg Hunt and live music from DJ Mista.Cal, The Scrubs, and Cönaxx.

All of closing weekend will be Retro Weekend, so make sure to bust out those killer retro costumes and be ready to party. Further details on closing weekend events are available here.
