Spring In Samoëns

Spring In Samoëns

Samoëns in the giant French Grand Massif ski reason is heading into the final stretch of the 2025/26 winter with strong late‑season conditions, family‑friendly pricing and a programme of spring events designed to keep the village lively through to the ski area’s closing date of 12 April.

According to the resort, “spring is one of the best times to experience the slopes of the Grand Massif,” with reliable snow cover and a relaxed, sunny atmosphere.

The Grand Massif’s altitude and orientation continue to underpin its spring appeal. Snow is guaranteed between 1,600m and 2,500m thanks to predominantly north‑facing slopes, ensuring quality skiing even in the final weeks of the season. The resort highlights the combination of “longer days, milder temperatures and sunny terraces,” which help create a festive mood both on and off the mountain.

To encourage late‑season visits, Samoëns has launched two dedicated spring packages. The Spring Ski Short Stay is aimed at couples, friends and last‑minute travellers, offering two or three nights in a studio with a matching two‑ or three‑day Grand Massif lift pass. Prices start from €200 per person for two nights plus a two‑day pass, or €210 per person for three nights and a three‑day pass.

For longer visits, the Spring Ski Week package includes a full week’s accommodation and six‑day Grand Massif passes. A family of four (two adults and two children under eight) can book from €1,000 per week, with the added benefit that children under eight ski for free,  a continuing initiative designed to make family skiing more affordable.

The resort notes that this offer allows families to enjoy the Grand Massif’s “vast ski terrain while keeping costs manageable.”

Away from the slopes, Samoëns is promoting a lively après‑ski scene built around concerts, village shopping and traditional Savoyard dining. The village atmosphere is expected to remain vibrant through April thanks to two key spring events. On 21 March, the fifth edition of Ça Joux Plage pour moi brings outdoor activities and entertainment to celebrate the arrival of spring. From 4–6 April, the Test’ival Paragliding Festival returns, offering demonstrations, equipment testing and activities for outdoor enthusiasts.
