With Massive Storm Incoming, Mt. Baker to Offer Night Skiing For First Time Ever

In the 73 years Mt. Baker Ski Area has been in operation, it has never offered night skiing.

In 2026, that changes, and for the first time ever, skiers and riders will be able to enjoy Mt. Baker once the sun has set. Starting March 13, 2026, the Washington ski area, known for being one of the snowiest in the U.S., will offer night skiing.

Mt. Baker will run Chair 7 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., and the White Salmon Handle Tow from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 13 & 14, 2026. The White Salmon Lodge will also remain open until 8:30 p.m. with extended food and beverage services. White Salmon Rentals will also have extended hours, but only walk-in rentals will be available after 2:30 p.m.

Along with extended lift access hours, Mt. Baker will also have live DJs and fire pits going. Overnight parking reservations are available in the White Salmon or Heather Meadows lots for those hoping to stay over in a vehicle or camper. Parking reservations may fill up quickly, so those hoping to get one are encouraged to plan accordingly.
