Crystal Expands Norway Options With New Birmingham Flight

Crystal Ski Holidays is expanding its Norway offering for winter 2026–27 with a new weekly charter flight from Birmingham Airport to Oslo Gardermoen, opening up easier access to some of the country’s most family‑friendly ski resorts.

The exclusive service, operated by TUI Airways, will run from Sunday 13 December 2026 until 14 February 2027. It joins existing Crystal routes from London Gatwick and Manchester, strengthening the operator’s Scandinavian network and giving Midlands customers a direct gateway to Gausta, Norefjell, Geilo and Beitostølen.

The move comes amid rising UK demand for Norwegian ski holidays, driven by the country’s reliable snow, quiet slopes and strong appeal for beginners. Resorts are known for wide pistes, forest‑lined trails and cosy cabin accommodation, alongside off‑slope activities such as snowmobiling, ice fishing and Northern Lights excursions.

Scott Britton, Head of Crystal Ski Holidays, said the new Birmingham route reflects growing interest in Norway: “Demand keeps climbing and customers love it for the fun activities and snow‑globe scenery. Expanding choice and flexibility is key, and we’re excited to welcome more travellers next season.”

Sample packages include seven nights in Geilo at Hotel Dr Holms from £776 per person, departing 3 January 2027, and seven nights in Beitostølen at the Radisson Blu Resort from £1,157 per person, departing 7 February 2027. Both prices are based on two adults sharing and include return Birmingham–Oslo flights, 20kg luggage and transfers.
