6 Minutes Of Steep Powder Skiing In Alaska To Get You Hyped Up For The Ski Season

Alaska powder skiing.

With it being close to the middle of October, our minds are firmly glued to the concept of skiing and/or snowboarding. Sure, we’re probably still a few months away from proper powder skiing, but ski resorts around the country could start spinning lifts within just a few short weeks.

Jonnie Merrill and Jake Hopfinger took to the steeps of Alaska via snowmobiles to get some serious powder skiing in last winter. Their short film, Fully Torqued, is just 6 minutes long, but it’s plenty of skiing to get you hyped up for the upcoming season.

Jake and Jonnie set out on a tag team mission last winter. From their own backyards, to the steeps of AK… these two get us all wound-up for Winter.

While we don’t have exact dates on when the ski season will kick off across the United States this year, it’s fair to say we’ll probably see a few chairlifts spinning by mid-November. Colorado’s Copper Mountain, for example, has a projected opening date of November 7th. Fingers crossed we see some snow earlier than that!
