The Onyone Ultimate Ski Congress is organized by Warren Jobbitt Snowsports Academy

I have plenty of knowledge in skiing, I have a higher IQ, I am a good skier, “but…”.
Are you missing something here, I think you should explore this experience even once in your lifetime.

My first participation this year in the ski congress was a changing path in my ski knowledge.

I am not writing this article because I am an advanced or professional skier; I am writing it because I lived it for 4 days with real professional skiers of the highest level, you live the moment that all skiers dreamt about it.
If you have the unique opportunity to learn from the best, why you should hesitate?

I can say that my expectation was extremely high, and my experience was much higher than expected, I can remember on my way back home hitting the road with all my luggage and skis on a snowstormy day, my only focus was on the road pushing more than 10 inches of snow in front of my vehicle on the highway, but my memories and my passion of the lovely faces that I met for the first time was circling all around me, the experiences, the seminars, the explanations, the laughs, the fun, the challenges, the people, the ideas.

I didn’t hear of this event before, on one day I was surfing social media and here it is, Benny Walsh “the king of short turns” announcing that he was coming to Quebec for a ski congress, I was happy to hear that, I chat with Benny ask him if he’s coming for real and if he will stay long since I love to take the opportunity to spend one-day skiing with him.

After that, I went to check it out. Boom, here it is, Warren is organizing this event and many professional skiers are coming namely my ski instructor “Tom Gellie”, I was very excited, so I chatted with Tom too.

I felt myself dreaming, all these big names coming to one event. Wow!

To be frank, some of the instructor’s names were not too familiar to me, I can say that Warren and his team made a great choice of choosing ski instructors with different ski instruction approaches and different ski schools such as “Warren Jobbitt” CSIA level 4, “Tom Gellie” CSIA level 4, owner/founder of www.bigpictureskiing.com , “Manny Osbourne-Paradis” world cup racer and 4 time Olympian, “Jonathan Ballou” PSIA national team member and vice president of Mountain Sales and Schools at the iconic Aspen Snowmass, “JF Beauliau” one of Canada’s best ski pros and 4-time Interski team member and Captain of Canada’s Interski team 2023, “John Gillies CSIA” level 4, “Betsy Linnell CSIA” level 4 and “Karlyn Renwick CSIA” level4.

This is what made the event so special. You learn from the best, you learn different techniques, you learn from different approaches, you learn from different schools, and you will understand more than learning.

The event does not impose any program or any instruction requirements to be followed, each instructor has his own way of applying his drills. You can ask any question or any used technique that you would like to adjust to your experience and level of technique. Even at the end of each day, all participants will join instructors for feedback and briefing journey discussing experiences and presenting their philosophy and techniques.

If we are talking about the mood in general, I didn’t see in my whole experience enough people that are sharing and exchanging their passion and experience about this sport as much as I saw. Warren and his team were always smiling and ready to help, the organizers made a huge difference.
Warren was always asking me if I am happy and satisfied, the answer was I am overjoyed with everything.
