Admittedly, ski bindings are pretty overlooked when it comes to showcasing your own style on the hill. Usually, it’s a helmet, goggles, or outerwear that make a statement–or better yet, some really sick skiing! Of course, that’s probably due to the fact that most ski bindings are inherently quite plain, but Look is looking (ha, ha) to change that with their new Pivot 2.0 limited-edition colorway. It’s called “Tiger Candy” and it involves custom-painted tiger stripes. Because, you know, cheetah print is soooo 2025. We’re on to bigger and badder jungle animals this year.
It’s the same trusty binding as always, available in a variety of brake widths and DIN ranges (going all the way up to a locked-in 18). It even sort of matches the limited-edition Rossignol Savage ski.
What’s the big deal with Look Pivot bindings? The magic lies in the “turntable” heelpiece, which offers 28mm of elastic travel and rotates directly under the tibia, delivering elite-level shock absorption and the industry’s most trustworthy retention for a significant reduction in unwanted pre-release. The binding also offers the shortest mounting pattern, allowing your ski to flex more naturally. There’s a reason Olympic mogul skiers, park skiers and many of the world’s best freeride athletes swear by it. Finally, the metal construction makes these more or less indestructible (I currently have a pair that’s survived 3 different pairs of skis that I’m still skiing on).
While these “Tiger Candy” pink Pivots are certainly eye-catching, custom-painted Look Pivots are nothing new. Check out our story on Mike Swim’s Crasheur side project to learn more.
