Third Freeride World Tour Stop Has Officially Been Moved From Georgia To Austria

The 2026 Freeride World Tour Georgia Pro was scheduled for February 22, 2026 but was unexpectedly cancelled due to unstable snowpack conditions. Being the third stop of this year’s tour, Georgia provided an important opportunity for athletes to score critical points.Â
While the cancellation was disappointing news for athletes and the greater freeride community, safety must always come first. The Georgia Pro is still an integral stop for the FWT and they will be returning next year given a more stable snowpack.Â
Luckily FWT organizers were able to restage this stop in a new location. On February 24, FWT announced the comp would continue in Kühtai – Innsbruck, Austria. This is an exciting update, allowing a breath of relief for competitors relying on these points.Â
Kühtai lies just 22 miles from Innsbruck and Schöffi’s Face offers ideal conditions for the competition. Steep and technical terrain should be expected along with stable conditions. The comp should run Thursday (2/26) or Friday (2/27), though a final confirmation has yet to be made.Â
