Avalanche Triggered Next To Active Chairlift At French Ski Resort

Haute-Savoie, France — Videographer Grégory Ervé was on the ground early today when an avalanche was triggered at Praz de Lys Sommand ski resort in Haute-Savoie, France, in the northern French Alps. According to Ervé it was the 4th avalanche of the day:

“Fourth avalanche of the day, including one that crossed a blue run” -Grégory Ervé

The have been no reports of victims in the multiple avalanches at Praz de Lys Sommand but just yesterday there were three burials at Station La Flégère in Chamonix, France where an an inbounds avalanche spilled across an active slope. The 100-meter wide slab avalanche at Station La Flégère buried the three victims up to their necks in snow.
