Four Dead After Plane Crash Near Colorado Ski Town

Around 12:20am on Friday, February 13th, an Epic E1000 plane crashed near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, according to a report from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Four people were on board at the time of the crash.

CBS News reports that all four people on board died in the crash. All four bodies have been recovered and the families of the victims were expected to be notified by Friday evening.

The plane crashed into the south face of Emerald Mountain, a mountain just west of Steamboat Springs. Public flight data showed the plane flying west over the south before turning south, continuing west, and turning north. It crashed during its descent into the Steamboat Springs Airport.

FAA records indicate that the plane belonged to an aviation company in Tennessee. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will be investigation, with the NTSB leading and providing any updates.
