TeamGB’s Brookes & Muir in Olympic Finals Today

Team GB snowboarder Mia Brookes steadied herself brilliantly after a shaky opener to book her place in the Winter Olympics Big Air final this evening, turning a nerve‑riddled start into a statement of intent.

The 19‑year‑old, crashed on her first jump and sat deep in the pack, but she rebuilt her campaign with impressive composure. Brookes delivered a superb second run in qualifications on Sunday evening, stomping a clean backside 1260 that rocketed her up the standings and restored her momentum. A solid third attempt took her up to third place inside the top 12 and qualification for the finals which began at 6.30pm UK time this evening.

Earlier today freestyle skier Kirsty Muir, a close friend and long‑time teammate of Brookes, will compete in the Slopestyle finals from 11.30am UK time after qualifying on Saturday.
