Meet Team USA's Snowboarders for Milan-Cortina 2026
Preview
There are names even skiers will recognize on the Team USA Snowboard roster for Milan Cortina 2026.
In halfpipe, there’s, of course, Chloe Kim, who already holds two Olympic gold medals, one of which marked Kim as the youngest woman to win an Olympic gold in snowboarding.
We can’t forget Bea Kim either, who isn’t actually related to Chloe but has made a name for herself not just with World Cup podiums and impressive X Games results, but also as a climate advocate who has lobbied on Capitol Hill with Protect Our Winters. Two-time Olympian Maddie Mastro joins them with accolades like becoming the first woman to land a double crippler and a Crystal Globe during the 2024/25 season.
In slopestyle and big air, Red Gerard makes a highly anticipated return to the Olympics after winning gold at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. Gerard is joined by Ollie Martin, who is making his Olympic debut after winning an FIS World Cup slopestyle competition and two bronze World Championship medals. Martin is the youngest rider to ever land a 2160, and the only rider to land both a frontside and a backside 2160.
Five-time Olympian Nick Baumgartner returns for another Olympic Games after winning gold in Beijing in 2022 as the oldest US Olympian. Baumgartner is known not just for his own accomplishments, but also for his mentorship of younger athletes on the team.
Steamboat Springs local Cody Winters will compete in both snowboard cross and parallel giant slalom for Team USA at Milan Cortina 2026. During the 2024/25 season, Winters became the only American to earn World Cup podium finishes in two disciplines after landing in third place in both snowboard cross and parallel giant slalom.
