Bormio Ready For Olympic Downhill Tomorrow
The countdown continues towards the Men’s Olympic Downhill final on Saturday, February 7, the first in Western Europe for two decades.
Today is the third and last day of timed training on the legendary Stelvio slope at Bormio, which is hosting the Men’s Alpine ski races. Athletes and teams are once again testing one of the most iconic courses in the Alpine skiing world, ahead of the weekend’s main event.
All being well with the weather, the women will race in their Olympic Downhill at Cortina d’Ampezzo on Sunday.
This evening at 8:00 pm, the spotlight turns to the lighting of the Olympic cauldron at the Arco della Pace and the Opening Ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games at San Siro Stadium in Milan, featuring a major show with international artists, which will be televised in the UK on BBC2.
