Massive Avalanche Sends Onlookers Fleeing At Russian Ski Resort

Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia — Unnerving footage from Elbrus Ski Resort in Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia where a massive avalanche came crashing down the slopes engulfing the parking lot in a powder cloud and sending onlookers fleeing.

The slide occurred yesterday January, 15, 2026. Thankfully no injuries or deaths have been reported. The slide happened five days after local authorities closed down sections of the mountain due to avalanche danger and it looks like that was a wise decision.
