Who’s At Fault In This Terrain Park Meltdown

Terrain park meltdown.

This encounter is undoubtedly a bit of a stupid one, with two snowboarders bickering about a terrain park wipeout. The snowboarder in the orange shirt wiped out after a box, and the snowboarder in the dark red sweatshirt evidently yelled at him for being in the way. As a result, the snowboarder in orange confronted the other in the lift line, leading to this argument.

While it is true that, when in the terrain park, you should get out of the landing zone of a feature as soon as possible after a jump, it doesn’t seem like the guy in red really gave the guy in orange a lot of time. Plus, the dude behind the camera signaled that someone had fallen on the box, so it should have been clear to the guy in red that it wasn’t an option.

This incident looks like it occurred in a beginner park area, so the fact that there was an argument at all is pretty wild. The guy in orange should move as soon as he can and the guy in red should offer a hand or mind his own business. Obviously orange shirt was fine, but if he was seriously injured (which is possible even from small wipeouts) and the guy in red just yelled at him, the guy in red would have clearly been the bad guy.
