SIGB Launches New Facilities Membership
This new category from The Snowsports Industry of Great Britain (SIGB) provides facilities with deeper industry connections, shared resources, and opportunities to collaborate with the industry across the UK.
Facilities Members will join a national network already made up of snowsport brands, agents, distributors, retailers, travel organisations, and media, uniting to help the sport to thrive.

To further support grassroots growth, the SIGB has introduced the Grassroots Growth Grant, a funding programme open exclusively to Facilities Members.
This initiative is designed to help the SIGB identify and support deserving projects across the UK that aim to increase snowsports participation:
- Subsidising sessions
- Reducing access barriers
- Developing innovative community programmes.
By welcoming facilities into membership, the SIGB can directly connect with operators delivering impact on the ground, ensuring funding is targeted where it will make the greatest difference to participation.
Facilities Members will gain access to:
- Industry representation and the opportunity to join the SIGB committee
- Access to key industry events, including Slide & OTS Winter and the Slide on Snow equipment test
- Eligibility for the new Grassroots Growth Grant, providing up to £5,000 in 2026 to support initiatives that increase local participation
- Direct networking with brands, suppliers, and retailers
- Access to industry data and trends
- Marketing and promotional visibility across SIGB channels
- Sustainability and legislation support

Facilities joining before May 2026 will receive up to 18 months of membership for the price of one year and will be eligible to apply for the 2026 Grassroots Growth Grant.
Annual membership ranges from £75–£112.50, depending on the number of locations.
“This new membership category represents an exciting step in strengthening the UK snowsports ecosystem,” said the Co-president of the SIGB, Steve Wells.
“Facilities are at the heart of growing participation, and by connecting them more closely with the wider industry, we hope we can accelerate access, innovation, and growth of the sport across the country.”
