Travelski Add Regional Flights To Their London Rail Package Options
Travelski UK, which has built a reputation for packaging ski holidays by rail from London to selected leading resorts in the French Alps, has announced it will now package flights from regional airports as well, for those in north of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland who can’t easily get to London to get on the train.
As part of Travelski’s reputation has been built on cutting CO2 emissions for ski holiday travel, the decision may seem a little incongruous with that ideal, but the company argues that they won’t be creating extra flights, but instead taking seats on existing services to the French Alps from regional airlines.
Skiers booking their packages get the reassurance that, unlike if they travel independently, their flights are covered by Travelski UK’s new ATOL license (number 12765) alongside its existing ABTA bonding (number Y6781). Packages also include transfers, accommodations and lift passes at an inclusive prices normally with a good saving on buying each part separately.
“Our latest Travelski Express rail inclusive packages continue to offer remarkable value for money for UK skiers, but we are mindful that they must get to London before even boarding the train. Our new flight inclusive programme allows skiers to select flights from almost every airline giving them a more convenient, localised departure point. These are then seamlessly packaged and covered by the UK’s Package Travel Regulations for total peace of mind,” commented Nicolas Delord, CEO of Travelski, who added, “We are committed to our environmental stance and will maintain and increase our rail inclusive packages alongside the new flight inclusive packages. Our bookings will feed into existing schedules so there are no additional flights generated as a result of these new packages!”
In addition, independent skiers, who are happy to get to Paris under their own steam, can now book a couchette or private compartment on the new Travelski Night Express. This leaves Paris just before 11pm, travelling to Aime la Plagne, Moutiers (for the 3 Valleys and other areas) and Bourg st Maurice, arriving just after 8.30 am (for Les Arcs, La Plagne, La Rosiere, St Foy and other areas).
These can be bought purely as a means of getting to the resorts or as part of a Travelski (Europe) package (accommodation, transport, transfers, lift pass).
However, as these are not part of a package holiday departing from the UK, it should be noted that these are not covered by the UK Package Travel Regulations or Travelski UK’s Bonding. See Travelski-night-express for full details and schedules.
