Xmas & New Year Almost Sold Out, But Big Savings in January
Travel agencies and tour operators are reporting holidays are largely sold out over the coming festive fortnight, but that there’s plenty of availability and some great deals still available in January.
“It’s looking to be a very memorable season, and whilst the festive season is all but sold out, to ski in January is still possible. To make that even more enticing, we have a continual flow of strong deals in France, Italy, Austria and Norway,” said Iglu Ski’s Managing Director Simon McIntyre.
Richard Sinclair, boss of ski holiday travel agency sno.co.uk, agreed, saying they’ve had some spectacular deals come in. “We’ve some amazing January ski deals some literally “BOGOF ski holidays” because they are less than half price!”
Chalet holiday company Ski Beat say they’re having a bumper winter, but do have some January savings to offer.
“Early snow in our high altitude, snow-sure resorts has added impetus to demand, and our first clients have already arrived in the French Alps and are enjoying fresh snow and excellent skiing conditions,” said the company’s Laura Hazell, adding,
“We have all but sold out for New Year, half term is well booked, and ski chalet holidays Easter are selling well too, but January is always a good time to ski, with prices keener after the festivities, temperatures low, and for selected chalets, we currently have a £100pp saving off a week’s stay, with breakfast, afternoon tea, three course evening meals with wine, return flights and transfers.”
