The 5 Best Gifts For Skiers That Aren’t Skis Or Boots According To Hundreds Of Our Followers

Holidays can be very stressful, especially when you’re struggling to find the right gifts for your friends/loved ones. Buying gifts for skiers can seem easy, but the more you think about it, the harder it gets. Skis and boots are expensive, and buying a pair without consulting the person you’re giving them to is a recipe for disaster. So we asked our social media followers about the best gifts for skiers that aren’t skis or boots, and these were the top answers.
Best Gifts For Skiers (That Aren’t Skis or Boots)
- Season pass/lift tickets (repeated 18 times).
- If you’re feeling like going all out, buying that special someone a season pass, whether it’s to one mountain or a multi-mountain pass, is a phenomenal option. If they already have one for this season, buy them a pass for the following season, or get them a day pass to a local mountain that they don’t have access to.
- Gloves (repeated 10 times).
- A good pair of gloves can go a long way, and most skiers won’t be upset if they have several pairs. Get them a nice pair of leather gloves, some heated gloves, or some extra fancy gloves. If you’re looking to spend not-so-much money, grab a pair of Kincos or something similar. They last forever and work great.
- Base layers (repeated 8 times).
- Any good quality base layer will be a great gift for a skier, whether it’s socks, long underwear, or a good shirt. There’s literally no such thing as too many ski socks and they aren’t all that cheap, so most mountain lovers will be happy to add a few pairs to their sock drawer.
- Goggles (repeated 7 times).
- A good pair of goggles is vital to an enjoyable day on the mountain. Whether you gift a full pair or some lenses, this gift ensures proper sight all day long. If you are going to gift a pair, make sure they fit the receiver’s helmet. You don’t want to give the gift of a Jerry gap.
- Boot/glove dryer (repeated 6 times).
- This is more of a novelty item than the gifts before it and is a great option for the skier that already has everything. There’s little worse than putting on your gloves or boots in the morning only to find that they’re soaked with water and sweat from the day before. A boot dryer/glove dryer can prevent that.
The second most popular comment was snow/powder day, a gift that, while we all certainly want it, can’t actually be put underneath the Christmas tree. That said, if one of you figures out how to control the weather to that degree, we’ll make sure to include it on the list.
