Skiwear From Fishing Nets
California-based brand Vuori, up to now known for its core ‘athleisure’ roots, is breaking new ground this winter with the launch of its first Snow Collection.
The Vuori Snow line embodies the company’s ethos of freedom, movement, and living in rhythm with nature, while pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation, the brand says. Each garment is crafted from 100% NetPlus® recycled fabric, a material made from discarded fishing nets, helping to tackle ocean plastic pollution and give waste a second life on the mountain.
“For me, snow has always been about more than outerwear. It’s about honouring our commitment to quality, embracing our unique point of view, and celebrating the spirit of the mountains that inspire us to reach new heights,” commented Joe Kudla Vuori’s Founder & CEO.
Designed for both backcountry climbs and resort runs, the collection blends technical performance with eco-conscious design. The new gear has a 30K waterproof rating for extreme weather protection, waterproof trims and fully taped seams to keep moisture out, built-in ventilation for breathability during high-output activity and RECCO® reflectors for enhanced safety in avalanche-prone terrain.
