Two car crashes involving around 50 total vehicles shut down Colorado’s Interstate 70 around Glenwood Canyon on Sunday, November 30th. According to 9News, no injuries were reported through either of the crashes.

Colorado State Patrol was called about the first call just before 11:30am, with approximately 20 vehicles involved. The crash occurred west of Gypsum in Eagle County, closing the westbound lanes of I-70.

Just about 15 minutes after the Gypsum crash, another pile-up occurred just east of Glenwood Springs near the No Name Lane exit, shutting down the eastbound on I-70. Around 30 vehicles were apparently involved in that crash.

I-70 was reopened in both directions by 6pm on Sunday night. Conditions in the area were reportedly very icy with visibility limited to just about 500 feet.
