Jackson Hole To Revisit Opening Day Schedule In Coming Days

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is yet another addition to the ever-growing list of ski resorts and ski areas delaying the opening of the 2025-2026 winter season due to lack of snowfall and uncooperative weather.
Jackson Hole has seen 26 inches of snow at mid-mountain through November, and warm conditions have hindered the Resort’s snowmaking efforts. At this point there just isn’t enough coverage to get open any terrain.
“The mountain just needs a little more time, but we are monitoring conditions closely, and the forecast is favorable for both snowfall and snowmaking. We’re making every effort to open as soon as possible and expect to announce Opening Day for our historic 60th Anniversary season soon. We thank our Mountain Operations team for their incredibly hard work to get the Resort ready and we look forward to celebrating Opening Day together soon!” – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort CEO Doug Pierini.
The Wyoming resort plans to continue snowmaking efforts wherever possible and will continue to monitor snowfall totals in the coming days. Opening Day, originally scheduled for November 28th, will be announced when conditions meet the Resort’s safety standards for guests and staff.
